Jenson Button confirms his program in Super GT


it Was an open secret, but Jenson Button has confirmed during the celebration of the ‘Honda Racing Thanks Day’ of his return to competition full-time. The british pilot, who has not been disconnected at any point in this world and even won the Monaco GP in substitution of Fernando Alonso, will return to the action to perform again a full season. In this aspect, Jenson Button will play the Super GT with Honda, championship in which already debuted in the past month of August to take part in the 1,000 km of Suzuka with a Honda NSX of Team Mugen.

“I will be with Honda next year. I have a contract to compete with Honda in the Super GT in 2018. It has been something I have considered a dream for the last two years, because it is a category that I simply love. I was able to compete at Suzuka this year and I was excited to. I am very excited and very eager to live the new season. There are many tests ahead to be able to feel comfortable and I hope to improve to be competitive from the first moment” has said Jenson Button during the event to the end of the season that Honda held every year at the Twin Ring Motegi, the circuit owned by the brand.

The season 2018 Button will begin the weekend of April 7 and 8, in the path of Okayama, while the british driver has confirmed that it has a good number of test ahead of them before starting the competition. For the moment, Honda has not confirmed which team will enlist Jenson Button and which riders will be your peers, each time that in the class GT500 the brand has up to five cars on the grid. It should be remembered that in his single appearance in the competition, Button has competed with the Team Mugen making machine with Hidekah Mutoh and Daisuke Nakajima.
