First race as an official driver HRC, and first victory. The pilot argentinean Kevin Benavides has finished in first position at the end of the Afriquia Merzouga Rally, which for a week has taken place in the moroccan desert and having as central point the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Benavides was placed yesterday in a privileged position to dispute this last special stage, with output on-line, type motocross, in the area of Lake Yasmina Erg Chebbi. The victories in stages 3 and 4 strengthened the domain of the pilot argentinor.

“I’m super-happy. In my first race with Honda HRC, to win is fantastic. I think I have made a great career despite having a small problem with the road-book and on the first day, and the second, a difference with the organization that we are penalized with five minutes. But the third day was spectacular because I won, and the decisive day was yesterday. I was very happy because I opened a gap that allowed me to go out today to run conservatively, with a good pace but not crazy. I Am very happy to give the victory to the equipor. I am very glad to start winning, with a great team work with Ricky and to give Roberto Boasso’s first victory, as the two started at the same time in the Team HRC. I don’t want to forget to my mechanic Germán Olivares, who worked taking care of my bike, Martino Bianchi and Mariano Casaroli, from the Honda Argentina. Many thanks to all”

The next appointment for Benavides will be the third round of the World Championship FIM Cross-Country Rally, the Sardegna Rally Race.
