The spectacular version Performante the Lamborghini Hurricane, will be , presented at the Geneva motor show 2017. To make sure of this, Stefano Domenicali has confirmed their presence for the month of March with a number of improvements with respect to the model from which it is derived that we will amaze more than one.
The brand of Sant’agata Bolognese, has been “experimenting” to get the enemy at home. The “small” of the family, will defeat all of an Aventador Super Veloce and even, the osa to achieve the desired merit of the fastest car on the circuit the German Nürburgring. Does all this sounds like a fairy tale, really… How do they expect to get it?
If we talk about lap times, Lamborghini is all a “connoisseur”. Currently, the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce with a V12 engine 750Cv has a record lap time in the Green Hell of 659″. If we compare it with its namesake Porsche, the 918 Spyder, it marked in the year 2013 a time 657 – “.
Not content with this, Mr Stefano Domenicali (current leader of the brand) wanted to make clear the presentation of the new version of the Hurricane; with the Lamborghini will try to snatch the first place in this long-awaited duel of the chrono. And is that… … all points to you already know that you will get it!
How are you going to get?
First, the new Performante will be much lighter. 100Kg less weight that the conventional version (its weight is 1422Kg). How could it be otherwise, there will be changes in the mechanics. Mount the old 5.2 L V10 of the Hurricane LP 610-4 and that also incorporates the Audi R8 but harnessed to a figure that rises to 640Cv and 614Nm torque that is achieved by incorporating a few new collectors of admission.
however, the engineers of the brand of the Toro Bravo have designed a unique system for the model Performante; never seen previously in any other model and that promises to be the key to success. Consists of a system of aerodynamics, intelligent active named WING (Aerodynamic Lamborghini Attiva).
we’ve All seen the huge, heavy wings that mount models like the Centennial, the McLaren P1 or the Bugatti Veyron; well, the system WING is composed of a series of flaps mobile spread all over the car, electronically controlled capable of regulating the flow of the air quickly.
trim tabs are in the front but it is in the rear where we find the real prodigy of engineering. Here, the air flows into the wing through an outlet formed by the system WING. This flap rear (like the front) modify your opening and closing to vary the friction or to increase the aerodynamic load respectively.
The system WING works in a range of speeds between 70 and 310Km/h, generating a “vectorization aerodynamics”. In turns modifies its position to improve the efficiency of the step-by-curve. What is more likely is that this technology will be implementing in future models.
in Addition; the interior will be lightened by the use of the carbon fiber along with other ultra-light materials. Many of the components incorporate, used forged carbon in its construction, including full, the system WING.
Other modifications that can be cited are settings in the suspension to make it more rigid. A change of double clutch optimised along with the all-wheel drive system and the aerodynamics. Finally add that will incorporate of the best that we can find in terms of “shoes”; a few Pirelli P Zero Corsa… then, we leave you a video for your enjoyment.
