E n the context of Phase VI impact testing, the Programme New Car Assessment for Latin America LatinNCAP and the Caribbean, held on the day a new batch of impact tests .
Among the vehicles tested in this case is the Hyundai Grand i10 manufactured in India. This is equivalent to its most basic version, acquired as always anonymously, this time in Chile unit. The Grand i10 is added to the pitiful club of vehicles with zero stars , to get the lowest score possible in adult occupant protection, while in the case of child passenger, the score was obtained two stars.
LatinNCAP emphasizes that compared with the same model tested by EuroNCAP, were found clear Missing Equipment in the Latin American product. Since its access version, this car is offered in Europe with ESP electronic stability control, multiple airbags and ISOFIX, achieving a score of four stars adults. In Latin America instead none of that is available in the most basic versions the structure also showed more unstable in its European counterpart.
