Lazzarini Design 550 Italia, Ferrari 500 V8 engine

L Azzarini Design designed a product that combines a Fiat 500 with Ferrari 458 Italia to give birth to so-called Lazzarini Design 550 Italia, a car that in theory will be produced in a single unit and that despite being designed for they used on track, will be approved for use on public streets.

Pierpaolo Lazzarini and his team were based to a Cinquecento which they implement an Ferrari V8 engine . They claim to have a team of mechanics and artisans able to bring to reality all they have created on paper within six months.

Not only has replaced the mechanics, but the body panels were replaced completely by a body integrally made of carbon fiber , counting also with items such as a brake system with carbo discs -cerámicos, magnesium alloy, carbon intake system and titanium exhaust .

It is still just a project, but the Fiat 500 with ferrari engine could become reality.

The downforce has been improved and has completely revamped the structure to reduce weight and adapt to the new features. The total weight is estimated at 850 kilograms and under the skin will have a 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 550 horsepower 9,000 rpm, mated to a 7-speed transmission with double clutch RWD .

To accommodate mechanical and improve its dynamic performance, 500 Lazzarini is wider 350 mm at the rear and 250 mm wider at the front, on the model of series, while your distando wheelbase increased by 350 millimeters.

The rear seat and cargo space have been completely removed, to accommodate the installation of Ferrari engine F136FB . The rear block, including suspension, differential and gearbox has been borrowed directly from the product of Ferrari.

Lazzarini has also thought of a possible engine update through the use of a turbocharger , the same supercharger system manufactured by Hennessey for Ferrari Berlinetta .
