The pilot of Formula 2, Luca Ghiotto, will have the opportunity to drive the Williams FW40 in the test of the Hungaroring for the first week of August. The Italian rider of 22 years old currently competes with Russian Time in the Formula 2, will share the car with Felipe Massa.
Ghiotto was second in the GP3 Series in 2015 after Esteban Ocon -current official pilot of Force India – and currently completes his second season in Formula 2 (GP2 Series until last year), which is fifth in the overall standings up to the moment.
The Italian has wanted to thank Williams for the opportunity. “A huge thank you to Williams for this opportunity. I think that the first test with a Formula 1 is special for any pilot and to do so with a team so full of history it is even better, I’m excited”.
