The Rally of Wales is a different event, with the mud and the rain as usual protagonists. A natural habitat in which they move perfectly in both M-Sport as Elfyn Evans. The preparer of Cumbria dispute the last round of the World Rally 2015, with the aim of adding a good result at home to close a year that has not been everything good one could hope for. For his part, Elfyn Evans will look to fight for the podium before his countrymen, while Ott Tanak wants to return to the right path after a disastrous Rally RACC Catalunya.
Elfyn Evans has contested the Rally of Wales on four occasions. The home race for the rider of Dolgellau is very special to compete at home and also because he made his debut in the WRC in this rally. It was in 2007 at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta ST. A lot has advanced the welsh since then. Now competes with a Ford Fiesta RS WRC of M-Sport and looking for a result that will keep you in the formation of Malcolm Wilson. His second place at the Tour de Corse is a good argument, but fight in Wales with the best may be the definitive.
“it is Always good to finish the season at home, in the Rally of Wales. It has a fantastic atmosphere,” says Elfyn Evans. “last year cuajamos a good fifth place and I want to at least repeat this year. The competition will be strong, but if everything is perfect, I think that we may be able to get a good result”. As chascarrillo, Evans argues: “In the Rally of Wales the only thing that is safe is the time. It will be wet, but for us, the grip is better than you might expect. The problem is when visibility becomes an inconvenience”.
Ott Tanak does not compete at home, but it is played as much or more than Elfyn
Evans. The Estonian driver has had moments of brilliance throughout
the season, but also actions harmful as in Monte carlo,
Mexico, Argentina and most recently Spain. Tanak has many
ballots to leave the team if Malcolm Wilson get
crystallize your great talent as a negotiator in the contracting of a
pilot top. With this pressure, Ott Tanak will compete in a few sections that has
played four times, with a seventh position as the best
result. It was the position that added in 2014, also with M-Sport.
“We are
willing to have a good event in the Rally of Wales. The three
last few times I have been there has been with the Ford Fiesta RS WRC, as well
our experience is solid“ says Tanak. The Estonian also think
that: “Wales is always a challenge, no matter the time. The stages are
fast, but very slippery. The second pass through the stages is
really complicated. We are prepared to push as in the
recent events gravel, to do our maximum and show that we are
able to be in the competition. I Want to finish the season
improving and doing the best job possible”.
