The Repsol Honda team has announced the renewal of Marc Marquez until the year 2018. In a press statement, released just before the pilot himself compareciese to the media, have ended up with the speculations that he had about the future of the corridor of Cervera, which will continue with Dani Pedrosa as a companion in this period.
Marquez, who occupies the second position in the World after Jorge Lorenzo, he was delighted to renew with his current team, who has achieved all its successes in the highest category.

I have a solid relationship with HRC, and I’ve always wanted to continue being part of the Repsol Honda team. In three and a half years together, we lived unforgettable moments, great victories and two world titles, as well as challenges that I believe have made us stronger. We are working very hard this year to regain the title. It is a great honor to be a part of the Honda family, and I’m glad to remain part of a group of people so special for two more years”
With this confirmation, they remain closed to the alignments of the top three teams of the highest category of the motorcycle World: Yamaha will Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales; Ducati will be Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso; and at Honda, will be Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez.
The head of HRC, Shuhei Nakamoto, vice-president of the brand, has praised the extension of the agreement with Márquez:
“For us it is an honor to have reached an agreement with Marc for two more years. There is No doubt that it is the present and the future of MotoGP. Both parties know us well, and we wanted to continue together; for this reason, we did not feel pressure to renew.
