Marco Wittmann seeks to close the title in the DTM in Hungary

the Hungaroring has become the epicenter of the sports interests of BMW Motorsport. However, in Budapest the bavarian manufacturer can kill or make you very close to the titles of pilots and markings of the DTM. In the first of the classifications, Marco Wittmann comes with a 33-point advantage over Edoardo Mortara and with 50 units on Robert Wickens. The German has in his hand to sign his second title at the German Championship in Passenger car after the harvest in 2014. For his part, BMW Motorsport holds a margin of 57 points over Audi Sport in the absence of four races.

Three wins and two podiums have been placed Marco Wittmann as the favorite for the title in the DTM, any time that two of these wins and a podium have come consecutively in the last three races. The German knows that the streak should continue at the Hungaroring for get his second title of the contest: “It’s great to be back in Budapest after a year of absence. I have good memories of this track, I got great success in 2014. Add a similar outcome would be very good. however, many things have changed, including the new asphalt. This will be a challenge for each and every one of the drivers”.

The premise for Marco Wittmann to get his second championship in the DTM goes by adding 13 points more than Edo Mortara and the same or more than Robert Wickens and Jamie Green, something perfectly feasible throughout the two races of the weekend. BMW Motorsport has further complicated the title closing of builders since the volume of points in the set is greater. A good result set will be key, not only to maintain this advantage as a brand, but to follow the lead of the classification by team. BMW Team RMG has 228 points, nine more Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline.
