Marc Marquez has secured the pole position for the GP of the Americas
MotoGP after scoring a time of 2:02.741 and beat Maverick Viñales by 130
thousandths of a second. The Honda pilot, which has already five poles in a row
Austin, has had to sweat and ink to get beat an inspired
Viñales, the only one who has been able to be at his height. In fact, Marquez and Viñales
have been the only ones in the roll at 2:02, leaving all their rivals to a second
of difference. In fact, Valentino Rossi has managed to be third though
end up to 1.1 seconds of Marc.
category queen has lived an atypical Saturday in Texas.
After a Friday quiet, the falls have begun to happen. During the FP3
nearly half of the grill has gone to ground, being the main
damaged Alex Rins who has suffered a fracture of the ulna and radius. In
sports, Jorge Lorenzo was again outside the top ten in the combined
of the free, which forced the spaniard to go for the Q1. All in all, the
Ducati rider managed to amend this fact and Jack Miller and Jorge Lorenzo were getting
his move to Q2 by the way ‘lenta’.
In the decisive Q2, Marc Márquez and Maverick Viñales have
fought a battle without quarter in which the ‘sheriff’ Texas came out
victor, not without effort. For its part, and despite its great role, Maverick
Vinales had to settle for the second position. All in all, the eight
tenths the ’25’ has endorsed Valentino Rossi are the best sample of your
performance. After the three mentioned pilots, Dani Pedrosa managed to sign the fourth
the best record of the Q2, closely followed by Johann Zarco, again
best private pilot in the MotoGP grid.
Jorge Lorenzo has finished sixth and closes the second row of
the grill after taking a great step forward in the first decisive moment in the
weekend. The spaniard, who has fallen to 1.4 seconds of the head, has been
managed to overtake his team-mate Andrea Dovizioso. Without a doubt, a great coup
the moral for the ’99’ that has been able to leave behind not only Dovizioso, but
also Jonas Folger and Cal Crutchlow, although the british pilot of the LCR
Honda suffered a fall during Q2. The fourth row of the grid is for
Scott Redding, Andrea Iannone and Jack Miller.
