After the departure of the famous trio of Top Gear, there has been much speculation about who would be the successors of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The first to be confirmed was Chris Evans, which would begin with the new season on 8th of may. But, why who would be accompanied? Sounded names like Jodie Kidd, Guy Martin, Philip Glenister, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris and David Coulthard.
Finally, the brand confirms a second presenter, but it is not any of the ones that were in that list. It is Matt LeBlanc, the popular actor known for his role as Joey on ‘Friends.’ The u.s. will thus become the first presenter of Top Gear who is not of british nationality. “I feel honored and excited form part of the new chapter of this show is iconic,” said the actor.
Although it is recognised that the world of Top Gear she was not oblivious to LeBlanc. Was there as a guest and left a footprint, in that the has been the fastest on-board of the car of reasonable price. The steering wheel of the Kia cee’d took 1 minute and for 42.1 seconds to complete one lap around the Airfield, Dunsfold (Surrey). In addition to presented “Top Gear: The Races”, his own spin-off of the program.
Chris Evans was happy with his new companion, saying: “Matt is a partner petrolhead of a lifetime and I am excited to be a Top Gear”. Also, they drop that soon there will be what’s new in the cast. We hope that in a short time unraveling the mystery, and we know the third member of the popular program, which has reached a global audience of 350 million viewers.
