McLaren and BP Castrol have announced their collaboration agreement for the supply of lubricants and fuels, not only in the Formula 1 team, but also for McLaren Automotive. BP already has worked with McLaren Applied Technologies and now extends its agreement to most departments of the british group.
in this regard, the Director of Operations, Jonathan Neale, has commented that “this agreement between McLaren, BP and Castrol is an agreement between brands that share a passion for innovation in everything they do widely recognized. Our team, McLaren-Honda, provides a global platform for that Castrol provide advanced technology lubricants”.
For his part, Mike Flewitt, Executive Director of McLaren Automotive, noted that “the agreement between McLaren Automotive and Castrol is an important step in our intention to offer the highest levels of performance and efficiency of our engines and our range of sports and supercars. Not only the lubricants supplied by Castrol to play a broad role in the delivery of efficiency through our existing cars, but also in future generations of engines”.
Before the agreement, McLaren broke a partnership of 21 years with ExxonMobil, which chose to go to Red Bull.
