Mercedes AMG GT-R: can only be 2,000 units?

Mercedes surprised us at the last Festival of Speed Goodwood with a more extreme version of the Mercedes-AMG GT, a version, a Mercedes-AMG GT R 2017, which also was accompanied by the confirmation that there will be more variants in the coming years. What we do is not noticed at the time was that this model, that this vitaminado AMG GT will arrive in a limited production, although luckily the number of available units is not as limited as the other “R”, such as the Porsche 911 R and 991 units.

“Only” there will be 2000 units from the Mercedes-AMG GT R, a figure that does not seems as too limited if we take into account the limited runs of some of the latest supercars:

According to have known the companions of Coach “only” there will be 2,000 units of the Mercedes-AMG GT R, a figure that we are not to crave excessively small if we take into account the limited that are the productions of other sports, without going to the extreme of the McLaren P1, the Ferrari LaFerrari or the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Remember that Mercedes has led to the V8 AMG until the 585 horses in this version, gaining on the way a new and thought-provoking tune, and a revised aerodynamics that we detail in the articles “Mercedes-AMG GT R: the beast of the Green Hell has woken up with 585 HP and a beastly active aerodynamic” and “Mercedes-AMG GT R: the beast of the Green Hell has woken up with 585 HP and a beastly active aerodynamic“.

We will have to keep waiting to know the price of this version in Spain. For now we can take as a reference the 167.355 euros it costs the Mercedes-AMG GT S 510 horses… and add a few tens of thousands of euros.
