The Isetta will return to the streets with electrical mechanics
Isetta is without a doubt one of the vehicles most charismatic of all time: its reduced size, shape, egg-shape, and as not, the feature door entry to the cab. This vehicle saw the light for the first time in 1954 as Iso Rivolta, although a lot of mistakenly ascribe this invention to BMW, will return to the streets in 2018 with a more modern way.
In a manner similar to revived the MINI and the Fiat 500, the new Isetta or Iso Rivolta as you want to call it, will begin to build by the end of 2017 and will reach the market in 2018. This is not a restyling or anything like that but a reinvention of the model also will not mount a small combustion engine, but will be moved only by electricity.
The Microlino respects the design of the original model
Its design is faithful to the original but adapted to our times. Front access door as well as the classic, canvas roof, large glass surfaces and LED headlights situated where normally you’d find mirrors external, the only thing we are missing is the roof rack carrier luggage in the behind.
In its reinvention, we shall not find a single cylinder engine of 200cc but have a small electric thruster 15 kW of power that allows you to take between 100 and 120 km with a single charge of their batteries -even without specifying – and reach speeds of up to 100 km/h. It is very easy to drive since you don’t have to change gears and has a plug with cable of 10 meters that comes out of the rear to recharge your batteries in a outlet conventional.
let us Remember that this vehicle is not a car but falls into the category of quadricycles so that the approvals are not as severe. Basically it’s like a scooter with roof closed, something similar to a Renault Twizy. Microlino ensures that your vehicle despite not having why spend the crash-test of passenger cars this has been completed positively simulations of head-on collisions at 50 km/h.
By the time the constructor only has prototypes so that the figures are estimates only. A priori I had thought to make a limited series of 500 units but what is certain is that bookings have flown literally so we are sure that you will be encouraged to make more in the end deliveries of this first batch. Does your price? The company estimates that between 8,000 and 12,000 euros.
