Monteiro, the first Portuguese to lead a Global FIA


The expansion of motorsport, in this decade, has meant that the FIA has under its guardianship different world, growing its sales in recent years. With his victory in the ‘Opening Race’ of Slovakia Ring and a second position in the sleeve main, Tiago Monteiro has been placed at the front of the WTCC, being the first Portuguese to lead a Global AIF. An achievement that comes from the hand of his eighth triumph in the World of passenger Cars, a category in which this weekend also added your podium number 33. In addition, Tiago Monteiro is the first leader of the WTCC, which competes with Honda Racing, despite the fact that through its ranks has passed Gabriele Tarquini (champion in 2009), and currently competes Rob Huff (champion, 2012).
