Can your outer appearance will not impress, and indeed-except for small details – this Volkswagen Multivan T5 is quite discreet and is not too friendly to attract attention. But we can assure you that is not a van more: this MTM T500 is not out of place at the Essen Motor Show 2015 thanks to his thorough mechanical preparation.
In your vain the engine has been installed, the ubiquitous engine 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder, coming from the Audi TT RS and already seen in many other preparations shown in Essen. Modified by MTM, in this “van” reaches 472 HP at 6.900 rpm, with a maximum torque of 625 Nm which is transferred to all four wheels through a gearbox DSG seven-speed.
If you see this MTM T500 fly in Nürbrugring, don’t be surprised: it is able to reach the 280 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Braking is managed by the powerful Brembo which features, on its front axle, with six-piston calipers and discs 406 millimeters, while in the curves a suspension ‘coilover’ subject your body.
Your running gear doesn’t pass unnoticed thanks to the rims MTM Bimoto 20-inch, with tires Michelin Pilot SuperSport on measures 275/35 ZR20. A good sample of his performance is that he holds the record at the Sachsenring as the van faster: in the hands of the pilot, Guido Naumann and road with Michelin Pilot Cup 2, marked a time of 1:45.31.
The total price of the preparation (including the VW T5 starting) reaches 159.510 euros, almost to the level of a good supercar. Anyway, each one of the elements can be purchased separately: for example, the mechanical preparation with the engine 2.5 TFSI including amounts to 72.500 euros, while the wheels with tyres cost 4.890 euros, and the front brakes other 6.720 euros.
