Do you have a Mercedes-AMG GT and you like motorcycles? Apart from being a lucky, you’re in luck. Because MV Agusta has just launched a special edition of its fantastic F3 800 , designed as ideal for Mercedes-AMG GT complement. The reason for this unusual collaboration between an Italian maker of exotic sports bikes and AMG is that Daimler in 2014 bought 25% shares of MV Agusta . And in Italy they want their new German sponsor is happy, so they have decided a little extol its sporting pedigree.
Fantastic sport bike
The MV Agusta F3 800 is powered by a 798 cc three-cylinder capable of developing 148 hp at 13,500 rpm.
MV Agusta and Mercedes believe there is good potential for joint marketing actions between the two automakers. Particularly with regard to sports range Mercedes, only available to consumers with high purchasing power. Like bikes MV Agusta, whose exoticism and performance places them in cracking rates the MV Agusta F3 800 is less than 150 hp, but its price is 16,695 euros in the street version. By design, materials and dynamics, is one of the most expensive in its segment bikes.
The Italian manufacturer has taken the Frankfurt stand shared with Mercedes-AMG. His F3 800 is painted in same color code as the Mercedes-AMG GT , the precious “Solarbeam Yellow” present in most official photos of AMG GT . Its wheels are black and side has clearly visible in both the fuel tank and the fairing logo AMG . The leather seat of the bike also has a yellow edging, again creating a clear contrast with the black.
Its color is the same Solarbeam Yellow proudly bearing the Mercedes-AMG GT in your body.
Technically, the MV Agusta F3 800 presented in Frankfurt is no different from any production model. This means it continues to share with these a three-cylinder 798 cc engine capable of developing 148 horsepower at 13,000 rpm , with a maximum torque of 88 Nm at 10,600 rpm. Called attention to a unladen weight of only 173 kg , this being one of the lightest bikes in its segment – competes well with 600cc machines as the Yamaha R6 with great sporting liter.
Its chassis is at a high level, with Brembo Monoblock braking equipment Marzocchi inverted fork and an electronic in which a traction control adjustable in 8 different positions and a torque control is included 4 maps. In short, a beautiful and exotic piece of Italian machinery, the Ferrari of two wheels.
