Fast with any vehicle. Nasser Al-Attiyah has
tax in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge
, which has been its premiere at the
controls in the Toyota Hilux V8 Overdrive. The pilot qatari, winner of the Dakar
2015, has shown his great form beating in more than a half hour
Yazeed Al-Rajhi and Mikko Hirvonen, pilots who have completed the podium with
two Mini All4 Racing X-Raid. In the bikes, another pilot in the streak has been
the victory. Toby Price has achieved the triumph to KTM, thus prolonging their
success after the victory in the last Dakar.

Nasser Al-Attiyah has completed the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge almost pristine, adding the win in four of the five stages over the second half, only giving the partial victory in the stage prologue of the first day and on the fourth special, where he was Mikko Hirvonen, the only driver that has been able to overtake him in the desert. However, this partial result the finn has not served to beat the new man of X-Raid, since Yazeed Al-Rajhi has also demonstrated a perfect adaptation to the Mini All4 Racing to add the second position. X-Raid also has placed Bryce Menzies in fourth position.

however, not all has been good news for the German team in Abu Dhabi. Jutta Kleinschmidt has managed to reach the finish line in 25th position. However, the debut of the winner of the Dakar at the controls of the buggy zebra -although you no longer have those peculiar colors – has not been entirely positive. The buggy X-Raid suffered problems and Kleinschmidt has completed more than 22 hours of the first classified, adding up to 13 and a half hours of penalty. For its part, the debut of Khalid Al-Qassimi has been more positive and although it has had problems in the change in the last day, has been seventh.

With a margin tighter, Toby Price has won the motorcycle category. The official driver KTM lives in the success after winning the Dakar and the first test of the World Cup Cross-Country, has also added to the win. Toby Price has excelled in 2 minutes and 11 seconds Sam Sunderland and in 3 minutes and 23 seconds Paul Quintanilla. In this way, KTM has taken over the podium in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. Only Helder Rodrigues (Yamaha) and Pierre Alexandre Renet (Husqvarna) have broken the dominance of KTM in the victories partial.

In the bikes, there was Spanish representation, with feelings of the most diverse. While Laia Sanz finished in the sixth position to little more than an hour of Toby Price, Rosa Romero has managed to do that in 19th position, seven hours of the head. The bitter part of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge has been to the third Spanish in the competition, since Txomin Arana has suffered a strong fall in the last stage, having to leave when he was struggling to sneak into the top five. Finally, it is worth noting the victoria’s authoritarian Rafal Sonik in quads.
