National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) finalized a collaboration agreement with the china Panda New Energy to supply up to 150,000 electric vehicles Saab 9-3 until the end of 2020.
Andl way of NEVS and the future of Saab seems to begin to improve after the announcement of a huge investment product of an agreement sealed between National Electric Vehicle Sweden and the chinese company Panda New Energy, through which NEVS shall provide 150,000 units of the Saab 9-3 electric towards the end of the year 2020.
The vice-president of NEVS Stefan Tilk was very pleased with this collaboration which is considered strategic not only in terms of the number of vehicles, but also as an important step to put in place a new business plan. In addition to the Saab 9-3 the agreement provides for the provision of other 100,000 products and services related to electric vehicles through other companies associated with NEVS.
The agreement will mean in addition to the creation of hundreds of jobs in the form of direct and indirect. On the other hand, Ma Chao, president of Panda New Energy, has been manifested very satisfied by the agreement.
The start of production of the 9-3 electric will serve as a balloon test for the four new models that Saab hopes to place on the market.There will be a fastback of medium size and three SUV: one compact, one medium, and one large one, all of them produced both in the plant Trollhättan in Sweden, as well as in the Tianjin in China.
