The fleet of vehicles of the Guardia Civil are renewed. This same week came the delivery of 49 new cars for the Guardia Civil, through a ceremony at the headquarters of Madrid of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Two have been the models chosen, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Fiat Scudo, who shall serve in different functions within the group of Traffic of the Praiseworthy.
Of this nearly half a hundred vehicles, a total of 15 units correspond to the Jeep Grand Cherokee. With a diesel engine 3.0 CRD and finish ‘Laredo’, this is the most basic within the range of this suv: with automatic eight relations, their 190 HP consume on average-according to cycle of approval – 7.5 litres/100 km and allow you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.2 seconds.
Still more interesting are its capabilities off the road. Their 4,83 meters in length moving like a fish in the water, on any terrain, thanks to its all-wheel drive permanent with gearbox and to its good dimensions 4×4. The recommended price to the public of the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD Laredo is 56.508 euros, and each of these fifteen units will be allocated to work patrol the road within the Civil Guard.
in Addition, Traffic is also premiering other 34 units Fiat Scudo Panorama Executive. This vehicle Fiat Professional with up to nine seats, double sliding large door and side gate rear rocker arms. Although I have not been given more details, these Fiat Scudo incorporate a diesel MultiJet: the range is composed by engine 88 HP, 128 HP or 163 HP. These vans will form part of the patrols for Traffic enforcement drink-driving controls.
The collaboration of Fiat with the Guardia Civil comes from years ago, and in the last decade the Italian manufacturer already supplied the police and many units of their Fiat Croma or Alfa Romeo 159. And without going so far, last year the Civil Guard had already premiered another Jeep Grand Cherokee. Interestingly, in Italy happens the other way round and resort to the Spanish product: in the Italian police have been elected to the Seat Leon.
