Nissan has presented a prototype that has little to do with the usual. The Nissan Rogue Warrior Concept is based in the Rogue series, our X-Trail, which is placed around tracks instead of wheels in order to move functionally through the snow. It will not come to production, but is a mere element of marketing that leads the champion of the last Micra Cup 2015.
This season, in our country, has not been precisely chosen in which snow is concerned, but the Rogue Warrior dares. Has been American Track Truck which they have placed a caterpillars Dominator at the foot of this Rogue. A few caterpillars of a particular size, measuring 122 cm long, 76 cm high and 38 cm wide.
The result is a car with a high ground clearance of no less than 58 centimeters, something unthinkable for a vehicle that started life as an SUV. This gives you the opportunity also to be able to handle slopes up to 45 degrees of inclination on snow. Obviously this is possible thanks to the system of awd already available in the standard car.
The Nissan Rogue Warrior Concept can reach a maximum speed reduced, about 100 km/h, but sure enough solvent to take on the snow. We have adapted the wheel arches to give shelter to the new tracks, the same way that you have installed some guards that cover the surface of the track that juts out from the body. Finally, the suspension has been reinforced.
