Opel Ampera-e, official debut of this power in the Paris Salon 2016

Opel also bet for electric cars, and will do so decisively with a new model: this is the Opel Ampera-e. Will be presented officially at the Paris Salon 2016, which will take place between days 1 and 16 of October, and will be on sale in a few months.

Its design and technology reminiscent of another model of General Motors, and is the Ampera-and it will be the power of GM to Europe, as a “brother” of the Chevrolet Bolt EV as presented in the united States. The Opel Ampera-e will have a electric motor of 204 HP (150 kW), offering a maximum torque of 360 Nm.

In the Opel Ampera-e li-ion batteries are completely flat and are situated under the floor of the vehicle: this way you do not lose space in its interior, with five spaces useful and a spacious trunk with a capacity similar to that of a compact, traditional.

The Opel Ampera-e can reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.2 seconds and from 80 to 120 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with values that will allow them to have quick reactions in the city or overtaking.

An example of its performance is what we have in this video, in which the Ampera-and challenging sports of Opel such as Astra TCR, Adam R2, Corsa OPC and Insignia OPC to a test of acceleration of 30 metres in a straight line: as a good power with all of its maximum torque available from the start, the accelerations from a standing start are striking in their first few meters.

in Addition to its nature ‘zero emissions’, the Opel Ampera-and will stand out because of its advanced connectivity possibilities, by incorporating the latest generation of equipment multimedia IntelliLink (with support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), and the system Opel OnStar, which will offer WiFi connectivity to a maximum of seven mobile devices, among other services.
