José María ‘Pechito’ López will be in the Race of Champions. The argentine will take part in the event which will take place between the days 20 and 21 of November in the Olympic Stadium in London. The driver of Citroën Racing will be attending the test on condition double champion of the World Touring car, after getting his second victory few days ago in Buriram (Thailand). ‘Pechito’ López will partner with Ryan Hunter-Reay in the ‘Team Americas’, training to fight with the rest of his rivals in the Nations Cup.
“This has been another great year for me and this invitation to the Race of Champions is the perfect way to finish it off. This year the pressure was more intense and the competition with my team mates was stronger than ever, so winning the WTCC with three races of margin is amazing” said ‘Pechito’ López in the light of his presence in the Race of Champions. The argentine also added: “The alignment of drivers in London is amazing. There are great pilots from all over the world and I hope to be able to provide a great show for the fans”.

If ‘Pechito’ has won two titles in the World Touring car, the other driver confirmed he has a track record still more extensive. Andy Priaulx will also compete in the Race of Champions by wielding his three titles in the WTCC and the ETCC. The british driver will partner in the Nations Cup with his compatriot Jason Plato.
