It will be in the Rally of Morocco, of the hand of spaniard carlos Sainz, in a test which takes place between days 2 and 7 of October.
The Rally of Morocco is considered by the large structures and marks as a general rehearsal prior to the Dakar, it will be important to see the performance of the Peugeot 3008 DKR in the dunes of the african country in relation to its rivals. With the base of the Peugeot 2008 DKR16 and with over 5,000 miles of test completed between the four drivers that make up the ‘Dream Team’ of the mark, the new buggy is called to be the favorite in this test and especially in the Dakar, where he hopes to put the witness to the victory by Stéphane Peterhansel in 2016.
As already happened last year, the Peugeot 3008 DKR has been developed
in different test in Erfoud (Morocco) and Spain, two scenarios in the
that are mixed regions of sand dunes, sections of hard courts, and various
climates. During these tests, the emphasis has been on the shock and on the geometry of the suspensions, but also has
got a better response from the engine. With a body totally
new in relation to the Peugeot 2008 DKR16, as is logical, all the
aerodynamics has been optimized, in addition to installing a system
air conditioning in the cockpit.
