Peugeot, Toyota and Mini, three rivals united by a sponsor

It is difficult to imagine a Formula 1 Ferrari,
Mercedes and Williams share the same sponsor or a MotoGP bike, in which the
motorcycles of Honda, Yamaha and Ducati look identical colors. In most
the categories would be unthinkable, on the Dakar is more or less habitual. However,
what is not so common is that in the raid of the world’s toughest of the three
main candidates for the title in the car category share sponsor.
So it will be in the Dakar 2017 all time Peugeot Sport, Toyota Gazoo Racing and
X-Raid will shine the colors of Red Bull

Peugeot Sport landed at the Dakar 2015 with Peugeot
2008 DKR that did not reach the level expected, but since its income in the test,
the brand of the PSA Group has enjoyed the faithful support of Red Bull. So shall it be also
this year, as has been seen in the livery provisional Peugeot 3008 DKR
although lucia shades of white and red, face the next Dakar will return to
wear the usual shades of red, yellow and blue of the austrian brand. This
form, St├ęphane Peterhansel, Carlos Sainz, S├ębastien Loeb and Cyril Despres
will compete with the colors of Red Bull

However, the colors of Red Bull will also be heritage
of its more direct rivals, and this has been evident in the presentation of the
project Toyota Gazoo Racing, training in the which will compete Nasser Al-Attiyah
and Giniel de Villiers. The Hilux V8, both pilots wear the colours of Red
, and the logos of official Toyota on a branding strategy to unify
the image of Overdrive and the formation of south africa. Therefore it is not
disposable see other Hilux V8 with the logos of energy drink subject to sponsorships, personal pilots.

The result of these sponsorships, the personal, the logos of Red Bull
also will be featured in the new Mini John Cooper Works Rally. Well it is true
Mini and X-Raid have had a great association with Monster Energy, a rival of
Red Bull, but the victory of Nasser Al-Attiyah in 2015 with a Mini All4 Racing
private painted with the colors of the austrian brand precipitated the rupture of
this association. With all the ‘signing’ of Bryce Menzies allows Red Bull
have no place in X-Raid, at least in the car of the rookie american.
Maybe Yazeed Al-Rajhi and Mikko Hirvonen to end up also joining this
‘army of Red Bull’ in the Dakar.
