back in the fifties, after the Second World War, Germany had been completely demilitarized, and with it a good part of its arsenal and its fleet of vehicles. In 1954, Germany was ready to become a partner of full rights of NATO, but I also needed a vehicle multipurpose. The German army was looking for a off-road light on the line of the Jeep, or the Kübelwagen Ferdinand Porsche was used by the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS in the military plans of the country during the Great War.
