Although few manufacturers use these systems as anti-pollution in their diesel engines, Renault opted for them.
The main problem with this system is that it is not as efficient as the SCR when the car is in movement. Therefore and in summary, cars have emission levels far higher than that approved. The French Government has been the one that has been demanded of Renault-Nissan to perform the review of the cars mentioned above to verify that the systems anti-pollution work correctly.
Renault plans to upgrade (optionally) more than half a million cars.
In last place and to finish with the leaks of the last few hours, it has been known that Renault is already finalizing the details of a “program update” that will be optional for the next summer. In particular, Renault plans to offer 700,000 owners the option to update systems anti-pollution of their cars. For the moment, there are no details on this aspect of models and system “update” that will be used.
