The return of Renault as a team official has not been the
expected. The French manufacturer, which somehow inherited the shortcomings of
Lotus, has lived in the 2016 season a very difficult one in which has just
able to add eight points. A balance pauper for a formation that does not have
problems in recognizing that does not feel any sadness for firing a year in the
that things have not worked out. So what has been stated Alan Stand, Director of
Operations on the track team in statements to ‘Autosport’, where also
has been pointed out the objectives of Renault for 2017 with the pair of
pilots composed by Nico Hülkenberg and Jolyon Palmer.
In this aspect, and after living a season in which resources are allocated very soon the car of 2017, Alan Stand says: “will Not be sad to see the back of this car and say bye bye to 2016. It is mentally difficult to go every weekend with higher expectations of what you know you are going to make it and then touch you battle it out each week not to fall in Q1. 2015 year was not so bad, but 2014 and 2016 have been very hard for everybody in Renault, so we are hoping that this year runs out”.
With the goal of passing page, Alan Stand explains the objectives of Renault for face-to-2017 season in which the manufacturer expects to make a further step: “We are looking forward to advance in the grill. I hope that we take a break level and we are struggling to get into Q3 or even be able to comfortably enter“. A season in which the arrival of Renault will be effective at 100%: “We are being funded better, and Enstone is changing. Renault gives us the tools to be able to compete better, but it is something that does not change from night to morning. There is a plan in process, it is reasonable and we all work to make it happen”.
