The Argentina plant Santa Isabel to produce Renault Sandero and Logan from 2016. The announcement was made in the context of a investment of 100 million dollars aimed at modernizing the facilities.
E he President Renault Argentina Thierry Koskas, announced an investment of $ 100 million to start to produce the Logan and Sandero in Argentina flat Santa Isabel from next year.
The assembly lines will be adapted to produce the second generation products derived from Dacia, now were produced in Brazil for the entire region. The Logan and Sandero will join the Mio Clio, Kangoo and Fluence which are currently produced at the plant located in the province of Córdoba.
The investment is for the installation of the equipment needed to produce new models locally, at a time to be developed network of suppliers to supply Santa Isabel of the necessary parts, including dies for stamping any body parts.
On the other hand, will be modernized equipment plant, according to endow it with the necessary flexibility to assemble the body in different models the same assembly line and new robots for paint system, which will include more automation.
From mid-2016, will be produced in Argentina the second generation sedan Logan and the second generation hatchback Sandero even in its Stepway.
