Rob Huff tested the Honda Civic WTCC in Jerez

Rob Huff is already a Honda rider for all purposes. The champion of the WTCC in 2012 has been able to rise for the first time in the Honda Civic TC1, vehicle that will compete in 2016 in the World’s passenger Cars. The british has been the great protagonist during the test performed by the team Castrol Honda WTCC in the Circuit of Jerez, where also have been uploaded to the japanese car Norbert Michelisz and Tiago Monteiro. In the case of Michelisz are the first kilometers as a pilot officer of Honda after contesting two seasons with the Civic TC1 private Zengo Motorsport.

The team Castrol Honda has prepared a week of work to their riders. The training has been testing in Jerez since last Tuesday, with Tiago Monteiro making development work in the Honda Civic TC1 to be the pilot with more miles and experience about the japanese car. The Portuguese has left the baton to Rob Huff and Norbert Michelisz, Monteiro has traveled to Barcelona to star in a promotional event together with Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa, riders of Honda in MotoGP. Tiago, Marquez and Pedrosa have ridden in the Honda Civic Type R at the Circuit of Castellolí.

In spite of this first contact of Rob Huff with the Honda Civic WTCC, is not the first time that the british pilot climbs into a vehicle of Honda in the last few months. In fact, while still a pilot of Lada Sports competed in the last event of the TCR Series in the Circuit da Guia Macau. There he competed with a Honda Civic run by JAS Motorsport, same structure that supports the official team of Honda in the WTCC. On that occasion, even managed to win the first race in such a mythical scenario.
