The future of Robert Kubica remains as a big unknown. The Polish pilot has not yet decided its sports programme of face-to 2016, although the perspective most conducive to Kubica is to have a joint programme between the WRC and circuits. A decision that comes from the hand of the few opportunities to compete on a factory team in the World Rally and the attractive offers in other categories. In this line, the proposal to have a Citroen DS3 WRC with the latest news does not convince the ex-pilot of Formula 1.
In a recent interview, the boss of Citroën Racing had appreciated the options that you have Robert Kubica for next season. Yves Matton understood that the option of having a program part in rallies is perfect, especially if there are no real options to compete with a manufacturer. In fact, the belgian and the Polish agree on this point, declaring Matton Robert Kubica is ready to win any test on asphalt, but always and when you have official material. Currently Robert Kubica competes with a Ford Fiesta RS WRC private managed by A-Style and with Pirelli tyres.
Yves Matton wrote: “perhaps the best solution would be a program split in rallies and circuits. I think that it would be a shame not to capitalize on what has already been invested in rallies,”. In the form of a bid, the belgian explains that: “it is Not easy to have a hole in a official team, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a WRC car with the evolution more current. However, we are not able to offer you a place in the official team next year”. Even so, count with a Citroën DS3 WRC of last generation in private hands -the PH Sport- not convinced Kubica.
