three out of Three. Nico Rosberg added a new victory without palliatives, without hardly a fight and no opponent. The German benefited from a puncture of Daniel Ricciardo at the beginning of the test, and it was the only time that was not at the front of the race. Behind him ran out a Sebastian Vettel who survived three shots (two of them in the output) and that showed the strength of Ferrari, though still insufficient.
The fight for the third place ended up in the hands of a Red Bull, the Daniil Kvyat, that he was almost a perfect race and took advantage of the incident by up to perfection. Behind, the comeback of the Lewis Hamilton he finished in the seventh place, and a career in something thick for him.
Fernando Alonso finished twelfth, out of the points for both, while Carlos Sainz did in ninth square.
Output and chaos
The chaotic departure marked the evolution of the race. Daniel Ricciardo came out exceptionally well and stood first, while behind the Ferrari’s were among them. was Vettel the guilty, who was shocked to see it coming to Kvyat for a side and burst out, where he chanced upon his mate and broke the spoiler. Result: Räikkönen said of your choices podium. It was not, nor much less the one incident: for behind there were a number of touches, one of them that hit Lewis Hamilton. The world champion was up against a Sauber, his front wing came out and he was forced to pit. Also Fernando Alonso was about to have a blow, from behind, and although he failed to win positions, saved the situation without any major problems.
The lead of Ricciardo was short-lived: when Rosberg was attacking, he took a piece of another car on the track and pricked his left rear tyre. Seeing that there could be more, the commissioners did leave the safety car to clean the track.
Here you changed the strategies of all. Alonso was third, without stopping in the pits, benefited by the progressive stops of the above. Nico Hülkenberg was to the point of causing an accident, when it entered the street of garages so unnecessarily slow, the behind was on the verge of embestirle Carlos Sainz and a Sebastian Vettel that had no choice but to adelantarles both in the pitlane. The Force India was penalised minutes later with five seconds penalty.
Strategies variables
One of the major points of interest of the race, especially after the safety car had withdrawn, was to see how far I could get Lewis Hamilton. After changing on-the-fly strategy, even safety car on the track, the british tried to get to the top, while we played ‘dance’ with a pilot very complicated: Kimi Räikkönen. The two world champions were found in various parts of the race, with similar strategies, but it was the Ferrari man who won that personal battle.
In fact, in the absence of just over ten laps the two had a scuffle, with Felipe Massa as invited by the fifth, which ended with the finn getting ahead of their rivals in the brilliant way, the brazilian holding on with tooth and nail to Hamilton and this taking off of problems. In the end, the Mercedes ended up being satisfied with the seventh position.
ahead, Nico Rosberg he enjoyed a career quite placid. So much so that he was the only one that could raise the strategy without looking at the rest, because behind almost all had to be shuffled with his rivals.
Sainz in the points; Alonso, even at the doors
One of the big winners in the strategy was Carlos Sainz, at least at the beginning. The madrid came to put Räikkönen in a good part of the race, but ended up giving a little more than 20 laps from the end. At the end of the test he had to eat his pride and let it pass by Max Verstappen, which came in better conditions, but ended with a good taste in your mouth after overtaking Valtteri Bottas on the last lap for ninth place.
Something similar happened to Fernando Alonso, while the spaniard had a good career. His first two stints with soft tyres, they were not especially competitive, and only at the end, when he put the tires means new, improved his times. It was not enough to get the points and ended up worse than it began, the twelfth, end up struggling to hold up to a Jenson Button that came at the end of the race with tires superblandos and a few laps in front of the media of Alonso, who were more than the twenty.
