Mercedes have become to be the fastest on the last Friday of the season. Nico Rosberg was the first time in the second free practice session, ahead of Lewis Hamilton with just a tenth and a half difference. Behind the scenes, however, there were some surprises.

In the third place of the table of times ended in a Sergio Perez surprisingly competitive in Abu Dhabi, although he was only able to give 23 laps in total by a mechanical problem on his Force India. With the Ferrari’s something plugged, the Red Bull also left very good sensations, with Daniel Ricciardo slightly better than Daniil Kvyat.

Although to the surprise, the Fernando Alonso. The Spanish pilot, who admitted that it had mounted on this Friday “50% of parts of 2016”, he managed the ninth best time of the day, with less than a second of difference with Rosberg. However, the gaps are still remarkable: the McLaren tagged the speeds tips more low of the day, with 316 km/h for Alonso and 310 for Jenson Button.

mechanical problems continue to be the nightmare for Carlos Sainz. The spaniard had to withdraw before the end of the free seconds, again, by a breakdown multiple of his Toro Rosso. Sainz was forced to park his car on the outside of the curve 7 of the circuit Arabic, and had no time to rehearse in good conditions. Nor did it in the first free, in this case because of the MGU-K.

, Roberto Merhi was six-tenths of Will Stevens, in a disappointing last place for the Spanish, in a GP that is played a lot.
