Sales 2017, Spain: Renault has been unbeatable

Sales of new cars in Spain ended the year in positive, marking the best figure in ten years. The enrollment rose to 7.6% compared to the previous year.

Hace some days you were showing the ranking of the cars and brands most sold in Spain during the last month of 2017, and now the time has come to analyze the progress of the registrations in the Spanish market throughout the year.

The sales accumulated in 2017 to a total of 1.241.540 vehicles delivered to new owners, which is the figure is highest since 2007 and an increase of 7.6% compared to the previous year.

In the ranking of manufacturers, Renault is the one that has gotten beat at all, as it happened during the year 2016, imposing SEAT who was awarded with the second position, while the third step of the podium was for Volkswagen.

Peugeot and Opel fought hand to hand for the fourth position and despite the fact that a few units are separated from both, the French brand was the one that finally managed to clinch the fourth position. Something more gone Citroën, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and Kia, thus completing the ranking of the ten manufacturers that most cars have been sold in Spain in 2017.

With respect to the ranking by models, two products of SEAT are those who have managed to dominate the rankings; SEAT Leon in the first position and the SEAT Ibiza in the second position. Despite having defeated in the table of manufacturers, the best position for Renault has been the third post with the Clio, to him, followed by another product of the alliance Nissan-Renault, the Nissan Qashqai, a model which was the leader among crossovers.
