Sales car: Argentina – October 2016: Renault takes the leadership to Volkswagen

now it is beginning to be a habit: Renault exceeded Volkswagen for the third time in the last five months

car sales in Argentina maintains its growth, and leave behind the serious crisis which affected this market. In October enrolled 61.816 cars, which implies a rise of 3.9% in comparison with the same month last year according to data from the Association of Dealers of Motor vehicles of the Republic of Argentina (ACARA).

The accumulated results of 2016 reflect a situation even more favorable with an increase in sales of 8.2% thanks to the 607.644 units sold so far. Dante Alvarez, president of ACARA, analyzed that “already at this stage of the year we can talk about a trend of growth shown consolidated, even in a month like October for reasons of seasonal tends to have a lower activity”.

One of the most relevant facts of the sales figures in this market is found in the ranking of manufacturers, where Renault has been placed on a high thanks to an increase in their enrollment of 24%. This growth of the French brand and the fall in the opposite direction of Volkswagen (-24%), imposes a change of leader in the classification.

Among the most popular models has not missed the appointment the Toyota Hilux, which retains the first place with solvency. The second position is for the Volkswagen Gol, despite the fact that their demand has been reduced by a significant 26% compared to October of 2015. The last step of the podium is for the Toyota Etios, a model that was renovated a few months ago.

Other cars that have done a very good role in October have been the Renault Sandero (+56%), the Chevrolet Onix (+106%), Peugeot Partner (+96%), Renault Duster (+97%), Chevrolet Prism (+62%) and the Honda HR-V (+211%). It is also noted the 17th plaza achieved by the Renault Duster Oroch, its best historical position.
