Sales cars: Germany – November 2016: The Ateca drives SEAT to new levels

Best result for the SEAT Ateca in the German market

In the final stretch of the year registrations in the German market reach the 276.567 units, growing at 1.5% with respect to November of last year. Although the pace is lower than that of the first months of the year, 2016 it can achieve an excellent track record having sold 3.095.074 cars (+4,6%).

In the head of the ranking models there is nothing new under the sun. The Volkswagen Golf is the outstanding leader but once again giving ground (-16%) due to the transition from the old model and the facelift. The German brand is hogging the podium with the Volkswagen Polo and the Volkswagen Passat in the second and third position respectively.

Mercedes C Class (4) remains as the premium model more sought after and the Volkswagen Tiguan (5th) continues to encandilando with its new generation reasserting its dominance among the SUV. To highlight the great numbers of BMW 3 Series (9) and the Mercedes E Class (10th), both in the Top 10.

Magnificent growth of the Renault Clio

A little further down in the ranking we can also find relevant information. The Audi A3 disappoint plummeting to the 19th place after seeing how their sales yielded a significant 39%. The renovated Renault Clio scale up to the 23rd square, that is to say, 27 places higher than in last October. Two models made their debut in Germany this month: the Toyota C-HR (437 units) and the Suzuki Ignis (39 units).

SEAT manages to place three models in the Top 50: the SEAT Leon still enjoying their good figures on the German market and is 13th, the veteran SEAT Ibiza maintained by the type (35th) and the big news is the 44th post of the SEAT Ateca, the highest position for this SUV since it came on the market. The Ateca is close to reference models with its segment as the Nissan Qashqai (40th), or the Hyundai Tucson (37).

The arrival of Ateca and the good data of the Ibiza and the Leon placed SEAT in the ninth position of the ranking. The Spanish brand has increased its sales by 33% with respect to the results achieved in the past month of November 2015, the largest growth of all manufacturers in the Top 25. The ranking is led by Volkswagen, Mercedes and BMW.
