Sales February 2016, Colombia: Renault is about to the top

Sales of new vehicles in Colombia had improved during the month of February. While Chevrolet managed to stay in the end, Renault will follow the steps closely and with the new models up on the market in recent form, possibly to achieve to overcome it.

Sandero-Stepway-1Lcar sales in Colombia had a mild recovery the past month of February, compared to the first month of the year. Is marketed 20.278 vehicles during the month of February 2016, that is to say 11.3% less the same month of the previous year, but a 21.4% more than in the previous month.

at The same time the first nine months of the year stood in the 37.018 new vehicles delivered in Colombia to new users, which means a decrease of 16% compared with 2015.

In terms of more brands, Chevrolet continues to lead the market, though heavily haunted by Renault. Chevrolet managed to market 4.949 units, with a 24.4% of participation, while Renault was located on the second apposition with 4,300 units and 21.2% of participation.

The brands that stronger grew in February were Volvo (+96,7%), Mazda (+23.2%) and Renault (+10,2%). On the contrary, some of the brands with negative performance have been Dodge (-62,5%), Honda (-59,6%), Suzuki (-44,9%) and Hyundai (-28,3%)

In regards to the models the Chevrolet Spark continues to lead the market, while the Chevrolet Sail is the one that is ranked in the second position. The third, fourth and fifth place fell into the hands of Renault, with the Sandero, Logan and Duster respectively.

Kia-Picanto-2015-3Renault achieved during the month of February with a sales increase of 4.2% in relation to the previous month, an absolute record for the French brand in Colombia. Highlight the Sandero and Stepway, which, together, reached the 1.775 units delivered to new users, that is to say that it became the most sold in the market.
