During the month of August new car registrations in Brazil they were unable to raise its head getting the worst result in the past nine years. According to official data the fall was 22.9% to reach 199,853 units delivered to new customers.
S f we look at the overall Brazilian market during the first eight months of the year, the situation is not much better, with a comparative decline from 2014 20.4% to stay in a total of 1,689,074 units sold .
The most successful vehicles are those with an engine capacity between one and two liters, and is also the smallest decline that occurred in August. Interestingly the most accessible liter engines lose less than 26% over the same period last year . Larger, more than two-liter engines also fall a lot (almost 40%) but its volume is very small (only 3,111 units over 9,114 cars in light / SUV commercial).
As always in the ranking by brands that can read below are including sales figures for passenger cars, light commercial and SUVs / crossover that are so fashionable these days.

The surprise during the month of August has the Chevrolet Onix, beating the Palio and staying as leader of the Brazilian market . Other highlights were the Jeep Renegade, Honda HR-V and the new generation of Fit , all recently released and have won users.
It is strange as I said above see Volkswagen Gol so far from the top . Nor he is getting along Saveiro this stage and falls a few positions in the rankings. Fine though figures Hyundai HB20 and its HB20S .
On the other hand the French end up not taking off. Renault gets it more or less well but neither Citroen and Peugeot are achieving very relevant data . The offer should be updated with new models designed for the region rather than offering expensive products to produce. Just take a look at the rankings for having to go down to the 36th place to find the Citroen C3 and until the 49th to see the first Peugeot model.
