Sales march 2018, Peru: The Kia Rio stands out from the rest

Toyota has managed to dominate the peruvian market during the past month of march, however, the Kia Rio has been the model most sold. Sales are still below the figures recorded the previous year.

Dver the past month of march, according to data provided by the Association Automotive del Peru (AAP), registrations of new cars in Peru accumulated a total of 12.813 units delivered to new owners, slightly above the figure registered the previous month and a 11.3 per cent below the record for the same month of the previous year.

In 2018 the sales of cars in Peru accumulate a total of 38.957 units, a fall of 7.4% compared to the previous year.

Toyota has managed to lead the ranking by brands during the past month of march, with a total of 2.126 vehicles and three models within the Top 10, followed closely by Hyundai with a total of 1.952 units and something more far away Kia, completing the podium with 1.542 new models delivered to new customers.

If we take a look at the listing for models, we observe that Kia Rio has been the most chosen by customers peruvians during the month of march, recording a total of 640 sales, followed by Hyundai Accent 473 and Toyota Etios with 397. Toyota Yaris, Kia Picanto and Hyundai Grand i10 complete ranking of the six models but sold in Peru during the month of march.

Kia, Hyundai and Toyota the ranking of the models more sold, each with three models in the Top 10 peruvian, although the German manufacturer manages to sneak in with the Volkswagen Gol in the ninth square. With respect to crossovers, the Toyota RAV4 has been the model most sold, followed by the Hyundai Tucson, Mazda CX-5 and JAC S2.
