Sales may 2016, Mexico: For the fifth consecutive month, leading the Nissan Versa

With some delay compared to other months, today we bring to you the figures of enrolment in Mexico during the month of may. Sales increased by 19.2% compared to the same month of 2015.

Nissan-VersaLas registrations of cars in Mexico continue on the rise, and the past month of may, there were a 19.2% increase compared to the same month of the previous year, managing to deliver to new customers a total of 121.587 units.

so far this year the sales already accumulate a total of 587.320 vehicles, i.e. a 16.8% more than in the same period of 2015, an indicator that total sales this year could exceed the figures of 2015.

In regards to the brands, Nissan can remain the top-ranked mexican, with a total of 28.644 units, followed by General Motors with a total of 24.238 vehicles and rather more far-completing the podium, Volkswagen with 16.778 cars delivered to new buyers.

Among brands with positive numbers during the month of may are Hyundai (52.1%), Suzuki (37.9%), Toyota (31.6%), Honda (28.3%), General Motors (23.8%), and Volkswagen (15%). On the contrary, between the marks with a negative performance were Land Rover (-54.6%), Smart (-56.2%), Mazda (-23.8%) and Acura (-13%).

aveoIn terms of models, the Nissan Versa remains at the top-ranked mexican for the fifth consecutive month, making in the month of may a total of 6.028 units. The Chevrolet Aveo it was ranked in the second position, with a total of 5.326 units, followed by the Chevrolet Spark in the third position, with a total of 4.963 units.

SUVs sold the Nissan Xtrail stood in the first position, with a total of 2,050 units delivered to new owners, followed closely by the Chevrolet Trax, with 1.982 units delivered to new users. The Honda CR-V returns to its place, standing in the third position, since the past few months, the new Honda HR-V had managed to overcome it.
