Sales November 2015: Europe

Car sales in Europe are going through a good period, reaching 27 consecutive months of increases. The brand’s best seller continues to be Volkswagen with 1,592,219 units sold so far this year.

Skoda-Octavia-RSLas sales of new cars in Europe reached already 27 consecutive months rises, an improvement that in the past month of November was 13.5%. The rise in sales was mainly thanks to the strongest markets as Spain, with increases of 26%, Italy, 24% France of 11%, while Germany with 9% and the Uk with the 4% were a step below.

Of the 29 markets that make up the region, just Luxembourg and Estonia were not able to register upload. The european sales achieved in November’s 1.12 million units, putting the total year-to-date in 13.06 million units, i.e. 9% more than in the same period of 2014.

Volkswagen-Golf-Variantwith Respect to the brands, scandal around Volkswagen seems to have left its mark, since out of the 10 brands sold, only Volkswagen and Audi had during the month of November you just a digit, with a 3% and 4% respectively. The other brands premium German had better results. Mercedes for his part, managed to place 62.452 units, with a rise of 18%, BMW with 60.613 and a rise of 10%.

however Volkswagen manages to lead the ranking of brands, followed by Renault, Ford, Opel/Vauxhall and Peugeot in the fifth position. The first post of Volkswagen is sustained thanks to the excellent results obtained by the Passat, with a level of sales that improvement is nothing less than a 86% compared to the same month of the previous year, due mainly to its recent replacement of generations.

Peugeot-308-II-01Among the models most sold in Europe continues to lead the Volkswagen Golf, that during the month of November managed to place in the market with 137,840 units, which meant a rise of 3% with respect to the previous year, the Polo in second place with a low of 1%, the Renault Clio with a rise of 7%, the Ford Fiesta with increases of 4% , and the Opel Corsa with an improvement of 18%.

Peugeot 308, with an increase of 22% achieved settle for the second month in a row in the eighth place and once again achieves a better performance than the Peugeot 208 that is located one step below in the ninth position, with an improvement of 23% on the previous year.
