During this week, we knew the Ferrari F12tdf, the new machine from Maranello that his name was a tribute to the Tour de France, legendary endurance race in which domino in the 50’s and 60’s. Now Ferrari has wanted to detail the operation of your Virtual Short Wheelbase. Its translation means “short battle virtual” and aims to give that feeling through this system that it is a rear axle active. In practice, the rear wheels of the Ferarri F12tdf revolve around the vertical axis to adopt the steering angle optimal thus preventing the possible loss of adhesion.
As is clear from the video, the cornering is much faster and the lateral acceleration and longitudinal has improved significantly compared to the F12berlinetta. This is also achieved thanks to its V12 engine maximum power of 6.2 liter that has 780 horsepower and 705 Nm of torque. It is able to pass to the 0 to 100 km/h in 2,9 seconds and from 0 to 200 in just 7,9 seconds. It also has the F1 gearbox DCT.
