This same week it was presented the Ferrari J50, a sport that we surprised everyone by its design and exclusivity. This model was launched to celebrate 50 years of the brand in Japan and therefore it is a limited edition to 10 units that will be sold in that country. His presentation took place at the National Art Center of Tokyo and luckily we have recovered a video to show you how was this ‘party’.
Andrea Militello, in charge of the design of the J50, explain to you personally like they have this aesthetic that is inspired by the classic. Because even though this model takes as the basis of the Ferrari 488 Spider, has little to do with him. The bodywork has been completely redesigned and the retractable hard top has been replaced by another type targa, formed by two pieces of carbon fiber. A solution that gives you a distinct look.
The front is more low and aggressive, and is cut up both sides by a black line, in the style of the F40 and F50. In the hood we can see two new air intakes, carbon and a few headlights LED more narrow. Behind also change the optics in the rear, which are formed by two pilots circular on each side. The diffuser has also been redesigned and integrates the two outputs of the exhaust.
The interior of the vehicle will be fully customizable to the taste of each client. What remains is the engine biturbo V8 3.9 liter, although it will increase your power with respect to the 488 Spider. This Ferrari J50 is 690 BHP of power (20 HP more), although we still do not know their benefits. What we do know is that the 10 units available may already have owner at a price surely within the reach of few.
