within PSA, Peugeot, Citroen (DS?), looming a good wave of hybrid and electric models. Already warned us of this in the presentation of the new strategic plan of the brand “Push to Pass”, announced a total of 4 electric models and 7 hybrids, 11 new models with one or other kind of engine power that we have now more details. These are the plans of PSA to electrify the ranges of Peugeot, Citroën and presumably DS.
PSA separates this process of electrification in two aspects:
on the one hand we would have the models plug-in hybrids derived from the platform EMP2. This platform is used in the Peugeot 308, the Citroën C4 Picasso or in the newly introduced Peugeot 3008 (see all the details of the Peugeot 3008 2016),
This set of plug-in hybrid will be covered by a mechanical gasoline, the first models will be available from 2019 and there is talk already of a autonomy up to 60 km in all-electric mode, a reduction of up to 40% of the consumption in the city compared to a conventional engine, a good habitable (low impact of the batteries in the passenger compartment and trunk) and the possibility to meet also models SUV with all-wheel drive, with motor 4X4 fully electric.
on the other hand PSA speaks to us of the platform CMP, a platform that would be developed in collaboration with the Dongfeng Motors, and on which is articulated the models totally electric.
This platform can support the development of vehicles urban, sedans and compact SUVS and PSA tells us already that she will get models versatile and spacious, with a electric range of up to 450 kilometers to be able to recharge your batteries, through a quick recharge, at a rate of 12 miles of range per minute.
The first of these electric cars? What we will see in 2019 and up to 2021 there will be a total of 4 different alternatives, in addition to the hybrid models of course.
