Peugeot is still working at full performance in the the second generation of the 508. This berlina was designed as the new flagship of the signing of the lion that gave replacement to the earlier 407 and 607. We have already commented in previous articles that several executives of Peugeot have been assured that the new model will be somewhat smaller, due to its large size burdened, in part, their sales.
During these last few months we have been following closely its development. Is more, there are several occasions in which we have been able to photograph it and advance information about its aesthetic appearance, mechanical, or technological. Once again, our photographers have been given a test unit and unlike previous occasions, instead of taking a few snapshots, we decided to record a video spy.
a Few lines below, in the video that accompanies this article, we can see a prototype of the Peugeot 508 by performing a test session of drag. This type of test, which tend to occur in places of large slope, allow to put the limit mechanics, and different systems that will be equipped with the new generation of the midsize French. We may also see some shots of the prototype driving without the trailer.

Influenced by the Peugeot Exalt Concept, is known internally to the code R83. The new Peugeot 508 will make use of the platform EMP2 EVO, a specific variant of the well-known architecture of the PSA Group. Thanks to this platform, you can reduce your weight at 150 kilograms, so that will greatly improve the efficiency and performance of the vehicle.
The range of the Peugeot 508 2018 will consist of a selection of petrol engines PureTech and diesel BlueHDi three-and four-cylinder. The thrusters are combined with a manual gearbox or automatic, are six-or eight-speed (the latter option for the more powerful engines). One of the great novelties of this generation will be a hybrid variant plug-in, although it will not come up 2020.
¿When will he be presented? the world debut of The new Peugeot 508 will be produced in the Geneva motor show in 2018 that will be held in the month of march. For its part, marketing will begin early next summer. It will be the main attraction of the brand in their booth. In this way, discarded the idea of “delay” its implementation over until the next Paris Salon 2018.
