Subaru has brought a number of new features to the 44th edition of the Auto Salon in Tokyo, between which is located the Subaru Impreza 5-door concept that we anticipated a few days ago with a couple of sketches. This prototype is a clear anticipation of the line that will follow the next generation of the Subaru Impreza, at the same time will be the first of a new breed of strategic vehicles for the brand, the new generation jump.
When it comes to production with the appropriate changes, this Subaru Impreza 5-door concept will continue to be the model of access to the range. Subaru bet for a design that is more sporty that, hopefully, does not move away in excess of the protipo, at the same time which will give a new step forward in terms of quality of interior and its design.
The prototype has dimensions of 4.4 metres long, 1,88 width 1.44 in height. Their battle is 2.67 meters and the cabin is ready to accommodate five occupants. This concept fits a striking 19-inch alloy wheels with tires in size 235/40. Although we know that the next Impreza will take the basis of this model, Subaru has not spoken of when it will hit the market the replacement of the current generation, which dates back to 2011.
has Not uttered a word in regard to the mechanics, though, as it could not be otherwise, will continue to count with the famed all-wheel drive system Symmetrical All Wheeel Drive. It is expected that the engines that encourage this new Impreza will be the new boxer 1.6 and 2.0 turbo, although it is possible that there are more surprises, such as a hybrid variant.
