TAG Heuer pays tribute to the pilot of Formula 1, through this special series limited to 900 units of its chronograph “Formula 1”.
Lsignature swiss watchmaking presented a new tribute to the argentinian driver Juan Manuel Fangio. It is a special edition of its chronograph model Formula 1, which comes under the format of a limited series that pays homage to the multiple champion, who is considered one of the best pilots of the history.
“The Crooked” has been the driver with more titles in Formula 1, until the arrival of the German Michael Schumacher. His resume includes championships in 1951, 1954, 1955, 1956 and 1957, in addition to the subchampionships of the years 1950 and 1953. In the nine seasons that lasted their participation in the competitions, Fangio managed to climb on 35 occasions on the podium, earning 24 wins, 23 fastest laps and 29 pole positions.
With respect to the clock, its dial has a vertical bar that represents the colors of the argentine flag, a nod to the country of origin of the pilot five times champion of Formula 1. It also adds the recording “Fangio” on the bezel of the watch, while on the back we can also find an illustration of the pilot, as well as your signature.
The clock is water-resistant to 200 metres, has a case of 42 millimeters and has three areas in its interior, which are protected by a Sapphire crystal.
TAG Heuer has been one of the official timekeepers of Formula 1, and there is a long tradition with the category, currently being one of the sponsors of the team Red Bull Racing. This tribute to Juan Manuel Fangio is added to the list of other collections promptly launched to pay homage to some of the riders most famous of the category, like Ayrton Senna.
