Since mobile phone came into our lives has taken over our being (I include myself in the sack). So strong is his influence on us that an action as simple, and dangerous, as driving has become a task of risk for people who travel a highway or street if the average mobile device. This situation made the hands-free systems bluetooth reach dashboards our car.
however, the developments that have suffered the mobile phones have become computers, and therefore his spell on us is even greater. So much so that today traffic accidents caused by the use of these devices outweigh the that happen the result of an oversight or neglect. However, having hands-free devices via bluetooth seems that is not as safe as initially believed.
According to a study published by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), address of a telephone conversation by our bluetooth device hands-free is as dangerous as when we talked on the phone without the speaker. This conclusion seems to us to be very successful because even though we are not using the hands to hold the mobile if we are using a good part of our capacity of concentration, causing our attention to be diverted from the road into the conversation.
The researchers of this university have found that while maintaining a conversation telephone via a hands-free device we would need about 11 metres extra to stop our vehicle completely from a speed of 40 kilometres an hour. This distance, as is logical, is going to increase exponentially as the speed of the car is greater.
Now, many may think what then do we do if we receive a call while we are driving? well the answer is very simple. In our wonderful network of roads (in Spain, other countries I don’t know) we have many places where stay away from the circulation and take the call safely. Therefore, I think that the best solution would be that proposed by the government of the united States and is the mobile phones have an airplane mode for when you are inside of a car can not run some applications.
