G-Drive Racing has managed to carve a niche in the international scene with his presence in the WEC and the European Le Mans Series. However, the structure has been supported by various teams during the last few years. The team was managed in 2015 by OAK Racing, while in 2016 it was Jota Sport who held the presence of G-Drive Racing in both the World of Resistance as in the ELMS. In a new change, TDS Racing will manage the Oreca 07-Gibson G-Drive Racing in the season 2017, in a formation in which Roman Rusinov and Pierre Thiriet will join forces.
The draft TDS Racing next to G-Drive has a few
ingredients very marked, while Roman Rusinov bet from the first
time with an Oreca 07. The patron of G-Drive Racing and champion of
the category LMP2 in the WEC in 2015, has opted for TDS Racing, the team that
join forces with Pierre Thiriet, a classic French structure with the
who has competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the last six editions,
five of them with a LMP2. The third pilot is not confirmed, although G-Drive
expects to have a pilot with experience in Formula 1.
With this agreement, TDS Racing will field two LMP2 in the WEC,
every time that I announced during the past month of November compete with
an Oreca 07-Gibson with its own colors. In this LMP2 will be uploaded to the
championship GTE Am, Emmanuel Collard and François Perrodo, who will join
Matthieu Vaxivière, a pilot who already agreed with both of them on other projects. By
his part, is expected to Jota Sport will also continue in the WEC after
to break their bond with G-Drive Racing. At least, the team has announced via
of the social networks, buying their own Oreca 07.
