Peugeot continues with the renewal of its range of engines. Gradually BlueHDI new engines that meet the Euro 6 standard, are coming to the end manufacturer. Today does the same on Peugeot 2008 , the successful compact crossover of the brand, which replaces the previous block and diesel 92 horsepower
With this new engine of 100 horses and 254 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm, the 2008 stands out for its high levels of efficiency, at least in terms of approved numbers. We know that the reality is often something different. Mean consumption is 3.6 liters , where is useful the Stop & Start for city driving. CO2 emissions are estimated at 95 grams per kilometer. The transmission is five-speed manual and complete the 0-100 in 11.3 seconds.

The Peugeot 2008 1.6 100 horses BlueHDI is positioned as the diesel access to the range . Above we are just the same engine with 120 hp and manual six relationships. It is available in the Active and Allure finishes. The simplest Access is only offered with Puretech three-cylinder gasoline engine and 82 horses.
The BlueHDI technology allows to achieve the Euro 6 approval by the addition of a specific catalyst with injection of an aqueous urea solution, AdBlue , achieved a 90% nitrogen oxides 99.9% and particles.
